Nana, Papa & Aunt Amy came to town for a visit! Our first adventure was Drake’s first MLB baseball game on the Sunday before Memorial Day at Great American Ball Park. We had View box level seats along the right field foul line with a gorgeous view of the stadium and the Memorial weekend boats on the Ohio River.

First game certificate! I love this. We decided to go to the game because my mom grew up in Chicagoland, and she and I are lifelong Cubbie fans. We even have a brick at Wrigley! Drake’s Daddy is a Cincinnatian though and grew up in the Pete Rose Big Red Machine era. It’s a fun rivalry in our house. (Also the Cubs won in extra innings, woo!)
The Beach Boys and John Stamos played a concert after the game.
And we ended the day with some Olive Garden and Drake’s first work of art that didn’t involve eating the crayon!
It was an awesome day. Drake tolerated being out all day much better than I expected from an RSV isolated preemie dude. He even took his nap snuggled in the stands. We did take it easy on Memorial Day and stick close to home though.
It’s so hard living in Kentucky with my family in Texas and Louisiana. Thank God for Facetime and good visits.
