Despite my Friday at 3:00a.m preemie mama post, we had a full, wonderful weekend.
It wasn’t without its mishaps. First tick and first trying to walk crash, but it was full of wonderful family moments and enjoying my fellas.
I don’t feel right posting pics of other people’s kids without permission, but there was an amazing group hug between Drake, the birthday boy, and another little girl that was so sweet it almost made me forget about the germs. 🙂
So we have serious contemplation of the swing, falling asleep with our joint custody dog (MIL works out of town most of the week, so we share her toy poodle), exploring the park pavilion at the party, first cut, and first tick.
The cut was from face planting into the corner of his dresser. Why is kid’s furniture made with sharp edges??! The tick from our Mother’s Day adventure out to Great-Uncle’s farm.
I am definitely being told by the universe that I cannot expect to protect this child from everything, and it shouldn’t stop us from enjoying daily adventures.
Word of advice, when someone tells you to use nail polish to remove a tick do not select the dark purple one.
Multiple layers, gloves, and blankets shouldn’t be necessary for a Mid-May birthday party. There are definitely times I miss Louisiana…
Good for you!
Thanks! Not to say my crazy is gone. Dreaded weight check is next week, lol.
Jp always slays those (he’s a beast) but I have a developmental milestone check coming up at three that I’m kind of dreading. He’s my perfect kid, but the other day I was around a kid months and months younger and I know he’s waaaay behind.
I know in my heart it’s not my fault but part of me cringes like they think it is. Hugs!
Hugs back for that! Our dev check is in June. He’s only 14.5 months so I try my best not to freak. But so tired of being asked why he doesn’t do this or that yet. :p
